Our greatest asset in an unprecedented time is each other. Across the globe, communities are going the distance to come together to provide relief efforts for the COVID-19 pandemic. With many nonprofits seeing an increase in demand for critical services coupled with the cancellation of in-person fundraising opportunities, all charitable organizations, including North Texas nonprofit organizations are reeling from the devastating impact of this global health emergency.

In concert with the #GivingTuesdayNow campaign, the international call for unity and giving, Communities Foundation of Texas’ North Texas Giving Day, the Dallas Cowboys and the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas have teamed up to do what we do best – come together to support the organizations and individuals who need help the most.

On Tuesday, May 5, this collaborative will host an emergency response day of giving, North Texas Giving Tuesday Now, to encourage donor support for nonprofit organizations reeling from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Collectively, we are committed to standing with our community as we navigate this time of uncertainty both locally and around the world.

COVID-19 can’t cancel community. Or generosity. Or kindness. This campaign is our community’s moment to get up, ‘go’ to the places we’re physically unable to, and give big. To go the distance and close the gap of needs faced by so many right now. Communities Foundation of Texas and North Texas Giving Day remain committed to serving North Texas nonprofits through this unprecedented time and beyond.

Standing alongside you,

Susan Swan Smith
